New QualificationILM Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading

This qualification is available from August 2010

Institute of Leadership and ManagementAll of the new ILM NVQs in Team Leading and Management are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are based upon the 2008 Management Standards Centre National Occupational Standards and are structured in the QCF style of individual Units.

Who is it aimed at?

The ILM Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading has been designed for Team Leaders with a degree of authority for managing resources, looking to motivate their team members as well as achieve agreed outputs. The NVQ gives learners the opportunity to develop the core competencies needed by Team Leaders in today's dynamic business world.

There are three mandatory Units focusing on managing personal development, working relationships with colleagues and communicating information and knowledge. there are also a range of optional Units (see table below) to complete the qualification and tailoring it to the specific needs of the learner and organisation.

Duration:

  • Completion within three years of registration;

Structure:

  • Three mandatory Units from Group A with a combined Credit Value of 10;
  • One optional Unit from Group B with a Credit Value of 5;
  • One optional Unit from Group C with a minimum Credit Value of 2;
