ILM Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management
This qualification is available from August 2010
All of the new ILM NVQs in Team Leading and Management are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are based upon the 2008 Management Standards Centre National Occupational Standards and are structured in the QCF style of individual Units.
Who is it aimed at?
The ILM Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management is ideal for the first line manager with responsibility for managing budgets, allocating work to team members/colleagues, achieving specific results and some degree of decision making. The NVQ gives learners the opportunity to develop their management performance, become more effective and to progress their career.
There are three mandatory Units focusing on managing personal development, setting objectives and supporting team members, and planning and allocating work for the team. There are also a range of optional Units (see table below) to complete the qualification and tailoring it to the specific needs of the learner and organisation.
