Learning and Development Provision (Co-ordination of...) NVQ at Level 4

The Learning and Development Provision (Co-ordination of...) NVQ at Level 4 will be suitable for you if you have direct responsibility for the strategy and plan for learning and development and identify the learning and development needs of the organisation.

Your work situation must give you the opportunity to be involved in a range of management and strategic tasks, which may include:

  • conducting internal quality assurance of the assessment process
  • identifying the learning and development needs of an organisation
  • designing learning programmes
  • working with individuals to identify their learning aims and agree learning programmes
  • preparing resources to support learning
  • managing the contribution of other people to the learning process
  • evaluating and improving programmes
  • reviewing health and safety procedures in the workplace.

To achieve the qualification the candidate must complete seven units in total. These are drawn from six mandatory units and one optional unit.

    • L5.2 Review learning programmes and agree changes with learners
  • L8 Manage the contribution of other people to the learning process
    • L8.1 Agree roles and resources with contributors
    • L8.2 Co-ordinate the activities of contributors
    • L8.3 Monitor and review how effective contributors are
  • L17 Evaluate and improve learning and development programmes
    • L17.1 Choosing how to evaluate programmes
    • L17.2 Analyse information to improve learning and development programmes
    • L17.3 Make improvements to learning and development programmes
  • G3 Evaluate and develop own practice
    • G3.1 Evaluate own practice
    • G3.2 Identify self-development needs
