The Management of Health and Safety NVQ at Level 5 is suitable for those involved at the strategic level and is considered to be a management qualification with health and safety units added.

The Management of Health and Safety NVQ at Level 5 has a total of 11 Units, 8 mandatory units plus 3 units from an optional unit list.

Mandatory Units

Units from the Management Standards:

  • B3 (MSC) - Manage the use of financial resources
  • B5 (MSC) - Secure financial resources for your organisation's plans

Units from the Health and Safety Standards:

  • HSP1 - Develop and review the organisation's health and safety strategy
  • HSP13 - Influence and keep pace with improvements in health and safety practice
  • HSP2 - Promote a positive health and safety culture
  • HSP3 - Develop and implement the health and safety policy

Units from the Learning and Development Standards:

  • L2 - Identify the learning and development needs of the organisation

Units from the Personnel Standards:

  • P11 - Develop a strategy and plan for managing changes in people resourcing
