Learning and Development NVQ at Level 4

This qualification comes in 3 different options. The option chosen will depend on the Job Role. The titles of the qualification options are:

NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development

This is appropriate for someone who is involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of training programmes to learners. The delivery methods require group learning, mentoring in the workplace, supporting individual learners and reviewing their progress amongst many others. Thus, there is a large amount of "hands-on" with the learners.

At Level 4, the person is also required to contribute to learning within the organisation. Assessment and internal verification of NVQs are also available as optional units.

NVQ Level 4 in the Management of Learning and Development Provision

As indicated in the title, this is more about management of learning and development. It does not require “hands-on” activity with learners. Internal Verification of NVQs is available as an optional unit.

NVQ Level 4 in the Co-ordination of Learning and Development Provision

This is similar to the NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development, but misses group learning and mentoring in the workplace as options.
