Charity: A Night of Two Michaels (and a lot of fun!)

Supporting CharitiesFriday 5th October saw around 100 people gather at The White Heather, Caenby Corner, Lincolnshire for a ‘Night of Two Michaels’.

The event to raise funds for the When You Wish Upon a Star charity in Northern Lincolnshire, South and East Yorkshire and the Humberside region added over £2,000 to the charity’s funds from ticket sales, raffles and a very generous donation from a group (represented by Mel Frear) who just like to socialise, enjoy music and raise money at the same time.

The evening started with a superb dinner followed two outstanding live performances from what are arguable, two of the finest tribute acts in the country.

Rob Lamberti was George Michael and Kevin Hill-Junior was Michael Bublé. Kevin started the musical part of the event with a variety of Bublé numbers and then after the raffle, Rob brought George out of the dressing room and blew us all away with a most excellent performance.

The whole evening was organised and coordinated by Joanne Heywood, who runs the charity, superbly supported by her husband Nick.

Our own Gary Payne was MC for the evening.
