This nationally recognised City and Guilds qualification is suitable for anyone who is currently working in a training or tutoring role, or who is entering this profession.
PTLLS at Level 4 is not only the first Unit of the CTLLS and DTLLS qualifications, it is also the qualification required for all teachers and trainers who work in the lifelong learning sector in either an ‘associate teaching’ or ‘full teaching’ role. They will then usually go on to undertake either the CTLLS or DTLLS qualifications.
Entry Requirements
Delegates will need to be able to express themselves effectively both orally and in writing. They will need a qualification or experience in the subject area they intend to teach.
Course Content
This course includes:
- Planning a teaching/training session and a scheme of work/training programme;
- Role of the tutor;
Training cycle;
Meeting individual learner needs; - Teaching/training and learning methods;
- Assessment methods;
- Note that this does NOT replace the Assessor qualification.
Evaluation strategies.
This is a professional teaching qualification and the course requires active participation and the completion of coursework assignments.
